​FOR GROUPS KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 2ND GRADE

6TH AND 7TH GRADE

K, 1 and 2 groups will be making a Nature Explorer Kit which will include play binoculars, a nature journal, a bird feeder and a pocket press.  The children will go on a scavenger hunt on the farm with their play binoculars and collect nature treasures found on the farm to add to their kit.  Please ask the families to send the children with at least two cardboard toilet paper tubes.

6 and 7 groups will use their imagination to bring their creative ideas to life using nature inspired materials foraged on the farm. They will take their masterpiece home to add to an outdoor space. While we will supply and forage for nature treasures, participants are encouraged to bring their own nature treasures from home (such as pine cones, dried flowers, small pebbles, acorns, pine needles, leaves, shells )  in a paper bag with their name on it.

IMPORTANT DROP OFF & PICKUP INSTRUCTIONS

• Crossroads Farm Camp Entrance - Drop off is at 9:15 a.m. at the FRONT ENTRANCE to the farm located at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Hempstead Avenue. Pick up at 11:45AM at the same location.

• Send sunscreen, water and a snack with your camper.
