Substitute Crossing Guard – Incorporated Village of Malverne

 

The Village of Malverne, Nassau County, New York has job openings for substitute Crossing Guards.

The primary responsibility of a Crossing Guard is to direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic at a specified location for the purpose of protecting children and other persons in the vicinity of a school building.

Typical duties include:

• Direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic at assigned street intersection or crossing point.

• Regulate directional flow of vehicular traffic in order to enable pedestrians to cross street.

• Signal instructions and directions to operators of motor vehicles or pedestrians at crossing point.
