​The Seasonal DPW Worker performs routine manual labor to support municipal operations and sanitation services. This position assists with the collection and disposal of residential and commercial waste, recycling, and yard debris, while also handling a variety of hands-on outdoor tasks. Responsibilities include helping maintain roads, public facilities, and community spaces, ensuring clean, safe, and well-maintained public environments during peak seasonal months.

​Substitute Crossing Guard – Incorporated Village of Malverne 

 

The Village of Malverne, Nassau County, New York has job openings for substitute Crossing Guards.

The primary responsibility of a Crossing Guard is to direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic at a specified location for the purpose of protecting children and other persons in the vicinity of a school building.

Typical duties include:

• Direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic at assigned street intersection or crossing point.

• Regulate directional flow of vehicular traffic in order to enable pedestrians to cross street.

• Signal instructions and directions to operators of motor vehicles or pedestrians at crossing point.
