Irish Soda Bread Contest

A Wonderful Irish Tradition in Malverne!

Mayor Sullivan and Trustee Prizzi were happy to attend this year’s Irish Soda Bread Contest, and what a fantastic afternoon it was! We had a great turnout of participants who brought their best recipes and plenty of Irish spirit to the event.

The celebration was made even more special with the sounds of the pipes and drums, creating a festive atmosphere for everyone who joined us.

A big thank you to Dr. Evelyn at Phoenix Chiropractic for generously hosting the event and welcoming the community.

Special thanks to our wonderful judges - Kate Murray, Mayor Tim Sullivan, and Jerry Hughes from Connelly Station for taking on the delicious but difficult task of selecting the winners.

Most importantly, thank you to all the talented participants who shared their homemade soda breads, and congratulations to all of this year’s winners!
